This morning between 08:56 and 08:58 and between 09:05 and 09:07, increased latency occurred on the internet connections to and from our infrastructure. In some cases this increased latency resulted in temporary packet loss which was mainly noticeable for DNS resolving.

Our network provider has indicated that there was an increase in internet traffic with typical characteristics of a DDoS attack. The rise in traffic at that time was insufficient to trigger a DDoS mitigation, but it did result in increased latency and in some cases packet loss. We will discuss this incident with our network provider to prevent a recurrence.
